Developmental Editing
A structural edit to better your YA novel.
You've written your book. You've had a few people read it. The feedback is mostly good, but something's just not quite right. Does your story start at the right time and place? Are your beats falling at the correct place? Does your ending go plop instead of BANG? You might need a developmental edit.

Developmental editing is the Big Picture edit. Done before copyediting, line editing, or proofing, the dev edit is what gets your story into the appropriate shape and structure. This edit is concerned with the flow, with the character arc, with the story beats, and the pacing. It is an intense edit. If you're ready to take your novel to the next level, a developmental edit may be what you need.
